Hola, amigos! My name is Laura Stevens and I am a 5th year senior (graduating the day before we depart) in Economics and English. I am from Carmel, Indiana (a suburb just north of Indy) and am moving back to that area after graduation to start my job as an auditor in September. I have never been on a mission trip either, so I figured this was my last opportunity to go with a group of students from St. Tom's...I am excited to experience everything Bolivia has to offer and be the hands and feet of Christ to all.
Hello everyone!!!

Hello everyone!!!
My name is John Mejia. I am a Master student in the School of Civil Engineering at Purdue. I am going to be one of the student missionaries that would go to Bolivia from May 16th- May 26th. Actually, this is my second mission trip with Saint Thomas Aquinas, but the first one in which I would have the opportunity to serve the children of one of the poorest and most unequal countries in Latin America. I pray for God's grace and for being the face of Christ to the children in the orphanages of Santa Maria de Los Andes and San Martin de Porres. Also, that though this experience God would help me grow closer to him and guide me in fulfilling His Will. Please, pray for us. God Bless.
John

Hello everyone,
My name is Edwin Torres and I am currently a Ph.D. student specializing in Hospitality and Tourism Management at Purdue University. I’ve lived in several places over the last few years, though I am originally from Puerto Rico. I recall having seen pictures of missionaries for the first time while I was involved in youth ministries. At the time the images caught my imagination. In the last few years, I’ve had the opportunity to study many theories as they relate to economic development. Later this month, I will have the opportunity to go beyond the pictures and the books and participate in a mission trip to Bolivia. I look forward to joining a wonderful team of missionaries from St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Center at Purdue.

Hello! I am a mechanical engineering PhD student at Purdue University from NJ, originally from Peru. I have never been on a mission trip before and am very much looking forward to this one. Growing up in Lima, I often witnessed the grave injustice of children begging for money instead of being safe and in school. Now, I am glad to have the opportunity to serve the children of my neighboring country who are in the same or worst conditions of the begging children I used to see. I pray that this experience will enlighten my future and the path I take with my profession.
